Hi everyone!

This is an event that should have happened two years ago, but the COVID-19 pandemic canceled it. Now at long last, we're trying again!

To help celebrate Astronomy Day 2022 at the Marshall W. Alworth Planetarium on Saturday, April 9th, I will be there at 6 pm to read and sign copies of New Moon's Family!

The Planetarium is at:
371 Marshall W. Alworth Hall
1023 University Drive
Duluth, MN 55812

You can also find more information here.

This has been a long time coming, and I hope to see you all there. Happy stargazing!

Hey everyone!

I’m happy to announce that after our previous fundraisers had been canceled due to COVID, KTWH 99.5 is commencing our Spring Fun Drive once again, running Monday 5/17 - Friday 5/21!

You can hear me on 2 special segments during that time. Once again I join fellow storyteller Tom Kohler and host Leo Bebeu to discuss our histories and fond memories of being with the station, exchange a joke or two, and just have an all-around ball. The first 15-minute segment will air Wednesday 5/19 sometime between 7:30 and 7:50 am. The second will be on Friday 5/21 at 2:15 pm, right after my latest episode of The Tale Collector, in lieu of a past repeat episode.

Being a nonprofit station, we rely on listener support in order to keep sharing our news and stories with our audience, especially during such a tumultuous time as now. If you’re interested in contributing or would like to learn more, visit https://ktwh.org/.

Thanks again to you from me and everyone else at KTWH 99.5 for all your support!

Happy Anniversary, New Moon!

It is now been a year since New Moon's Family was published by Beaver's Pond Press! I was hoping to upload this on Oct 1st, but circumstances unfortunately prevented it. But that's okay, we can count it on the month. ;) To celebrate, I've posted my own video reading of the story on Facebook; you can view it here. Accompanying it is the beautiful piano piece, "They've Always Been Near," composed and performed by my wonderful cousin, Paul Gutmann. Here is the original unedited version on SoundCloud for your listening pleasure.

Thank you all for an exciting first year as a traditionally published author, and I hope you enjoy the story time!

Fool's Dish in Many Waters!

This has been a VERY long time coming, COVID-19 notwithstanding.

I’m excited to announce that the St. Croix Writers, whose group I’ve had the pleasure to be a part of for over a year now, have at last released their first anthology, Many Waters! In it are the poems, short stories, and novel excerpts of WI writers from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. It even includes a humorous little 2010 piece from me called Fool’s Dish (which just might be its own children’s book someday . . .😉)

Many Waters is now available here on Amazon Kindle; we plan to release a paperback version soon! Enjoy!

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, all book signings and appearances have been postponed for the time being, including the St. Croix Cabin Fever Writers' Spring Rendezvous and UMD's AstroKids Hour for Astronomy Day.

I will let everyone know as soon as there are any updates. In the meantime, stay clean and take care everyone. :)
